Oxfordshire County Council - Customer Case Study

Oxfordshire County Council, which supports around 8,000 network users and 7,000 PCs and laptops, needed a secure, easy-to-manage desktop environment and controlled public access to library systems. Working with RES Software and its partner CDG, the council evaluated RES ONE Workspace and RES ONE Automation to address security, configuration management, fast logons, and printer and mapping control.

RES Software implemented RES ONE Workspace and RES ONE Automation to standardize desktop management and automate software deployment across the council and libraries. The result was cleaner, more secure public devices, a fresh state after each logoff, and faster, policy-based patching and provisioning; it also improved support efficiency, user satisfaction, and total cost of ownership, while giving Oxfordshire better visibility and control over its desktop and laptop estate.
