Moorfields Eye Hospital, a leading UK provider of eye health services with 1,800 staff across multiple London sites, needed to improve a slow and inconsistent desktop experience for clinicians. Before working with RES Software, login times at satellite sites could take 10–12 minutes, some clinical applications suffered latency, and users had trouble printing and accessing services consistently across the hospital’s hybrid PC, thin client, and laptop estate.
RES Software implemented RES ONE Workspace, along with RES ONE Automation, to centrally manage workspaces, applications, printers, and settings across all devices. The results included login times dropping to about 20 seconds, 80% less time spent on administration, a significant reduction in helpdesk calls, and an 80% reduction in terminal servers, helping Moorfields deliver a more consistent user experience and focus more on patient care.
