Toyota, the world’s largest car manufacturer, needed a cloud-based test management solution to avoid upfront investment, local installation and ongoing maintenance while enabling easy scaling and access for external suppliers. In October 2010 Toyota selected ReQtest’s hosted testing tool to provide an installation-free, web-accessible platform available in both Swedish and English so multi-country teams could collaborate without exposing internal networks.

ReQtest delivered a user-friendly, cloud-hosted test and requirements management service that gave Toyota better reporting, control and the ability to scale up or down as projects demand. The solution was adopted across internal teams and external suppliers (including an international Sweden–Belgium project), eliminated local install/maintenance overhead, produced a short learning curve with minimal support requests, and is now used to track change requests during maintenance—meeting Toyota’s goals for affordability and accessibility.
