Semantic Video Search & Sentiment Analysis for Appenza Studio

Appenza Studio, a Cairo-based mobile app and web development company working with the Egyptian Ministry of Education, faced two core challenges: making an immense, unstructured knowledge bank of PDFs and videos (in Arabic and English) discoverable for students and parents, and accurately measuring public feedback on the new learning app across social media—particularly Egyptian Arabic. To meet these needs they engaged Repustate to deliver an Arabic Semantic Video and Content Search (SVACS) solution plus a custom Arabic sentiment analysis model.

Repustate crawled the KB, applied OCR to scanned PDFs and speech-to-text for videos, and semantically indexed content in both Arabic (including Egyptian dialect) and English, while training a bespoke Arabic sentiment model and dashboard to track social mentions and aspect-level sentiment. The result: the entire Ministry repository became searchable and thematically organized, Appenza gained measurable metrics on mentions and sentiment to drive UX improvements, and Repustate’s solution enabled better content reuse and targeted education outreach.
