Big Box Retailer, a national big box retailer, wanted to reduce labor at receiving and in the back room. ReposiTrak helped address this challenge with its Data of Record and scan-based trading capabilities for Direct Store Delivery (DSD) vendors.
ReposiTrak enabled DSD vendors to send item and cost data electronically in advance of delivery, and transitioned appropriate vendors to a scan-based trading program. This eliminated back door receiving, shifted backroom pull-up and on-shelf merchandising responsibilities to vendors, improved inventory visibility, and reduced back room hours and check-in labor, contributing to a 1%–10% sales increase and reduced inventory risk.
