Optimization Group, an Ann Arbor–based marketing analytics firm that works with Fortune 1000 clients and a distributed network of consultants, struggled with decentralized, Excel-based time and expense tracking. Manual collection made it difficult to see true project costs, measure margins by phase, or accurately price future engagements as the business grew.
The firm implemented Replicon’s TimeBill, TimeAttend and WebExpense (initially on-premise in 2007, migrated to SaaS in 2010), enabling fast user adoption and automated time/expense capture. As a result they eliminated paperwork and manual data entry, gained clear, component-level project costing and historical reporting for better estimates, improved profitability and resource allocation, and freed accounting staff to focus on analysis rather than collection.
