How ZPG manages to always stay one step ahead

ZPG - Productions, a full-service production company based near Munich, needed a better way to evaluate equipment investments during Covid, when demand for streaming rose but future demand was uncertain. Existing accounting data showed purchase price, depreciation, and residual value, but it wasn’t enough to make well-founded decisions about new equipment.

Using Rentman’s Equipment Management software, ZPG tracked usage frequency, average rental prices, performance over time, and sub-rental costs, while also recording purchase prices and monthly depreciation per serial number. With Rentman, ZPG was able to make better-informed investment decisions, anticipate market changes, and later prove that its April 2020 investment in cameras, recording gear, green screens, and streaming equipment was the right move by the end of 2020.
