Birch Management, led by President and CEO Lee Porter, is a Greensboro-based property manager overseeing more than 1,000 residential and commercial units. After launching the company in 2007, Birch struggled with an ill-fitting property management system that wasted time and failed to provide the paperless, cloud-based functionality and data ownership the team needed.

Birch migrated its accounting from QuickBooks to Rent Manager’s Online Edition, later bringing its development company onto the platform as well, and leveraged Rent Manager’s add-ons, integrations (PayLease, AmRent) and user conference training to standardize workflows. The result: operations streamlined, staff proficiency increased, and the business grew from about 300 units to over 1,000 — a transformation Porter says he couldn’t have achieved without Rent Manager.
