Birdville School cuts HVAC energy use by 40% with RenewAire

Birdville School, a K-12 school in Texas, faced the challenge of improving indoor air quality for its 2,200 students while also reducing its high energy and operating expenses from its HVAC system. To achieve this, the school partnered with RenewAire and its energy recovery ventilators (ERVs).

RenewAire provided its ERV units to be paired with a Trane HVAC system. This solution recovered energy that would otherwise be lost, leading to a 40% reduction in the school's energy costs. The project also allowed for a significant downsizing of the air conditioning capacity and earned the school an award for its outstanding use of technology.
