Using Renaissance Star Assessments leads to success in many forms

Madison City School District in Madison, Alabama, was looking for a better way to monitor student growth and ensure students were meeting academic targets. The district felt it did not get enough actionable information from spring ACT Aspire results alone, so it turned to Renaissance Star Assessments to build a more reliable, data-driven approach.

With Renaissance Star Assessments, Madison City Schools used frequent data meetings, growth metrics, and standards-aligned reports to identify strengths, weaknesses, and students needing intervention. The district raised its proficiency benchmark from the 40th percentile to the 60th percentile, later to the 65th percentile, and achieved more than 20% higher proficiency than the statewide average on the 2015 ACT Aspire tests, while also giving educators timely progress data to share with parents and adjust instruction quickly.
