Pennsylvania district standardizes assessment, predicts state test results within 3–5 percent

Saint Marys Area School District in Elk County, Pennsylvania needed a learning-data platform to support its MTSS model, improve student support, and create more consistent K–8 growth across schools. The district worked with Renaissance and used Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360®, Renaissance Star 360®, and Renaissance Data Integrator® to strengthen assessment and data-driven decision-making.

With Renaissance, Saint Marys standardized assessment across K–8, automated student-data management, and gained a single platform for longitudinal insight. The district reported that Renaissance Star 360 predicted PSSA results within 3–5 percent at every level and subject, more than 90 percent of middle-school students met growth percentile targets, and 498 of 500 students earned passing grades.
