Kentucky school meets challenging reading and math goals

Concord Elementary School in Paducah, Kentucky faced the challenge of lacking reliable, up-to-date information as it worked to meet Kentucky’s challenging Common Core State Standards in reading and math. The school turned to Renaissance solutions, including Accelerated Reader, Star Reading, Accelerated Math, Star Math, and MathFacts in a Flash, to support personalized practice and assessment.

With Renaissance, Concord Elementary improved screening, diagnostics, progress monitoring, and RTI decision-making using fast, accurate data from Star assessments. The school ranked in the top three percent of schools in Kentucky, placed 19th out of 733 elementary schools on state assessments, and was named both a School of Distinction and a Distinguished School.
