Case Study: Davenport A+ Elementary School achieves top honors in reading and growth with Renaissance

Having fun and closing gaps: The art of math, by a North Carolina PTA Teacher of the Year

Davis IB Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi, worked to maintain its strong academic rankings while also driving continued growth for advanced learners in a district where school performance and growth metrics matter heavily. To support that challenge, Renaissance provided assessment and reading tools including Renaissance Star Reading®, Star Math®, Star Early Literacy®, and Renaissance Accelerated Reader 360®.

Using Renaissance, the school built a cycle of frequent assessment, data review, differentiated instruction, and reading practice. The result was sustained top performance: Davis IB became Mississippi’s top-ranked elementary school, earned A ratings for five years and counting, and posted the highest reading proficiency in the state, while giving teachers reliable data to forecast proficiency and growth.
