Case Study: Lexington Elementary School achieves higher reading and math proficiency with Renaissance

Community + collaboration + celebration = National Blue Ribbon merit at Lexington Elementary

Lexington Elementary School in Lexington, Indiana faced the challenge of sustaining continued high student achievement and growth. To support that goal, the school partnered with Renaissance and used Renaissance Accelerated Reader®, Renaissance Accelerated Math®, Renaissance MathFacts in a Flash®, and Renaissance Star 360®.

Renaissance helped Lexington Elementary build a culture of collaboration, celebration, and data-driven instruction through reading contests, math competitions, and personalized learning support. The results were strong: reading scores rose to their highest levels, 90 percent of students demonstrated proficiency on ISTEP math testing, and for the past five years roughly 50 percent of students scored Pass+, the highest ISTEP proficiency level.
