Bringing out the best: Elise L. Wolff Elementary makes reading crazy fun!

Elise L. Wolff Elementary School in Henderson, Nevada partnered with Renaissance to address declining reading test scores and a missed opportunity to better motivate both struggling and high-achieving students. The school needed a more individualized way to match instruction to student skill levels, monitor progress, and increase accountability across its diverse K–5 reading population.

Renaissance implemented Star Reading and Accelerated Reader 360, giving teachers data to place students, track growth, and create engaging schoolwide reading incentives. With Renaissance, Wolff reversed declining scores, more than doubled the number of quizzes completed compared with the same period the prior year, and raised average quiz scores from 84.3% to 90.5%, showing measurable gains in both achievement and enthusiasm for reading.
