Barbri Chooses a Cloud-Only Strategy for their IT Systems

The Barbri Group, a global legal education provider, wanted to modernize its IT environment by moving away from on-premises systems and Oracle databases. Working with Remote DBA Experts, Barbri set out to convert its databases from Oracle to Microsoft SQL Server as part of a broader cloud-only strategy, initially running SQL Server on Azure IaaS.

Remote DBA Experts supported the conversion, helped resolve transition issues, tuned the new SQL Server environments, and is now helping migrate Barbri’s databases from Azure IaaS to Azure SQL DB DBaaS. The result is a more scalable, cloud-based platform better suited to Barbri’s seasonal demand, with improved support for high availability, disaster recovery, and future growth across database administration and business intelligence needs.
