Allsup’s deploys Reliant Platform for PCI Compliance & PCI DSS Scope Reduction

Allsup’s, a privately held convenience and fuel-service chain with more than 300 locations across New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma, needed to improve PCI DSS compliance while dealing with remote stores on a VSAT network, disparate systems, and a legacy home-grown POS application. The company also faced the added complexity of cramped in-store environments and evolving fuel-pump requirements from third-party providers. Allsup’s selected Reliant Solutions and its Reliant Platform to help reduce PCI scope and address these security and compliance challenges.

Reliant Solutions relocated the payment application from the POS to the Reliant Platform and migrated Allsup’s to IP-based PTS-compliant pin pad hardware, creating a secure architecture with payment terminals and POS systems on separate networks. Reliant also deployed centrally managed software to solve fuel-system interoperability issues. As a result, Allsup’s kept its proprietary POS and back-end systems, centralized updates at headquarters, and achieved a secure, seamless compliance environment with greatly reduced and simplified PCI DSS scope across stores.
