Lumene Customisable RELEX System Convinced the Cosmetics Manufacturer

Lumene, a Finnish cosmetics manufacturer founded in 1948 with over 500 employees and a portfolio of some 1,700 product lines sold across Finland, the US, Russia and Scandinavia, needed to better integrate demand planning with overall business planning. Their legacy system was at end-of-life, S&OP processes required tighter transparency, and long lead times plus campaign-driven sales made accurate 16‑month forecasting and campaign management difficult.

RELEX delivered an agile, customizable planning platform (project Sep 2014–Mar 2015) with bespoke campaign-planning functionality, product/customer-specific parameters, and automated integration into SAP R/3 MRP plus daily data synchronization. The result is a comprehensive sales planning tool that improved campaign accuracy, increased supply‑chain transparency, provided stakeholders with baseline and campaign forecasts in quantities and values, and was implemented on time and within budget with further rollouts underway.
