Hong Kong Group Oy is a Finnish retail chain operating 26 specialty department stores and an online store, with ~650 employees, €131M in sales and a 25–35k SKU assortment that varies heavily by season. The company struggled with a manual, re‑order‑point replenishment process that was resource‑intensive, slow to react to rapid demand changes and ill‑suited to a wide supplier network, strong seasonality and campaign peaks.

In 2014 Hong Kong implemented RELEX’s automated replenishment and demand‑forecasting solution with parameter optimization in a phased pilot across two stores and then rolled it out to all 26 locations. Within seven weeks they saw measurable gains: higher in‑store availability, lower inventory levels, improved inventory turnover, centralized ordering and freed staff time for customer service; the chain now plans to extend RELEX for better management of seasonal and campaign replenishment using a push–pull–push model.
