Europris Leadership and Technology – A Supply Chain Transformation Journey

Europris, Norway’s largest discount variety retailer with 230+ stores, 600+ suppliers and ~2,200 staff, faced a supply-chain visibility problem: stores carried wildly different inventory levels and there was no reliable way to measure availability, forcing manual checks and tying up store managers for hours each week. In 2015 the company set out to centralize replenishment and improve forecasting to free working capital and boost customer service.

By implementing RELEX’s forecasting and replenishment platform, Europris moved ordering from stores to a planner-led, data-driven process supported by training and a custom display-stock tool. In 18 weeks they cut DC inventory by over 17%, raised in-store availability from ~91% to 97%+, increased on-stock items by 30%+, reduced store ordering time by 85% (from ~3–4 hours to ~30 minutes), lowered store inventory like-for-like by 7% and cut out-of-stock days by 53%, while unlocking further efficiency gains.
