RVM was engaged to help a client defend a lawsuit about posted disclaimer language and had to review hundreds of thousands of documents, including roughly 40,000 inline images. Because images are time‑consuming to sort and often duplicated, the manual review process would have been extremely labor‑intensive, so RVM built Snapshot on the Relativity platform to accelerate image review.

By leveraging Relativity, RVM’s Snapshot compares images by hash, displays thumbnail renderings in the Relativity Document List, and groups duplicates so reviewers can code images at a glance. The tool consolidated about 40,000 images into 1,700 thumbnails (a ~95% reduction), allowed one attorney to finish the image review in six hours versus an estimated 100 hours, and saved the client close to 100 review hours while simplifying a tedious process.
