Legility Culls 1.8 Million Documents to 10,000 in 1 Weekend

Legility supported Thompson & Knight LLP, a full-service law firm, when the firm faced an urgent internal investigation and year-end audit deadline requiring review of 1.8 million records. After keyword culling still left tens of thousands of documents, the team turned to Relativity and its Assisted Review capability to quickly identify the most relevant materials.

Using RelativityOne’s Assisted Review, Legility and Thompson & Knight trained the system over a weekend, added quality control checks, and prioritized responsive documents for attorneys by Monday morning. The effort narrowed 1.8 million records to a responsive set of 10,320 documents, with only 2,100 documents manually reviewed for training and QC; in total, just 2.5% of the original data was manually reviewed, enabling the case team to move forward fast with highly relevant documents in hand.
