KordaMentha Uses Relativity to Identify Cultural Issues Among Employees

KordaMentha was engaged by an Australian retirement fund provider to investigate a senior executive’s emails after HR found suspicious gambling conversations and potential fraud. Using Relativity—including Relativity Processing, custom workspaces and sentiment‑analysis tools—KordaMentha expanded the review beyond the executive to analyze unstructured emails and messages for sentiment and misogynistic language.

Working in Relativity with tailored term libraries, custom visualizations and integrations to third‑party NLU platforms, KordaMentha reviewed nearly 1.5 million documents, revealed pervasive sexist language across the organization (contradicting the client’s positive survey results), and helped the client take action—firing a handful of employees, sanctioning several others and mapping organizational changes—enabling faster, data‑driven business decisions using Relativity.
