How iDS Used Relativity to Navigate the Twists and Turns of a Complex Case

iDiscovery Solutions, Inc. (iDS), a legal technology services firm, was engaged by a major international corporation in an 18-month contract dispute that required review of millions of documents. To avoid unnecessary review and meet tight discovery deadlines, iDS proposed using Relativity Assisted Review and the parties agreed.

Using Relativity Assisted Review (with support from kCura’s advice team), iDS processed 6 million documents, culled 2 million by keyword/date, and ran Assisted Review on 4 million documents. Through iterative training and workflow adjustments on the Relativity platform, the team reduced the final overturn rate to 2%, manually reviewed fewer than 400,000 documents, met deadlines early, and saved the customer an estimated 6–12 months of review time and about $4,000,000 in costs.
