Control Risks Use Relativity to Remove 11 Million Junk Files And Centralize the Investigation

Control Risks, an independent global risk consultancy, and Hogan Lovells tackled a major investigation in Brazil that involved roughly 650 custodians, about 225 TB of data from 2,030 sources and more than 30 million documents. Facing a five‑month deadline to file financial statements with the SEC and coordinate across 20+ stakeholder organizations to avoid NYSE delisting, they used Relativity to centralize the investigation.

Relativity was deployed as the investigation hub to consolidate data, remove 11 million junk files, ingest non‑electronic information and apply analytics to prioritize key materials for review. Using Relativity, the team quickly produced documents for U.S. and Brazilian regulators, met the SEC filing deadline, and ultimately prevented their client from being delisted.
