Case Study: Province of Gelderland achieves standardized BIM-based asset information and integrated asset management with Relatics

Information supplies with BIM as a base for Asset Management

The Province of Gelderland has been working since 2011 to organize and maintain area data for management objects along provincial roads. The main challenge was to bring disparate datasets into order, keep them up to date, and standardize information exchange with contractors while building an integrated asset management system and an object type library (OTL) with potential connection to the national CB‑NL standard.

Gelderland adopted BIM standards and tools (IMBOR, IMGEO, COINS and CB‑NL), developed its own OTL and uses Relatics to connect these developments and manage the information flow. The result is standardized data exchange across multiple projects, cleaner, up‑to‑date asset records and more streamlined, interoperable asset management processes.
