The Province of North Holland had used Relatics since 2014—initially for the system requirement specification of the Kop van Noord-Holland using an adapted Grip™ template—and expanded it to support contract, risk, change request and strategic management across multiple projects. When the province introduced VISI in 2016 to manage formal communication, it faced the challenge of dividing responsibilities between the two systems so audit-relevant information, decisions, communications and deadlines would all be handled consistently.

The province settled on a complementary approach: Relatics stores and structures audit-relevant contract data and related modules, while VISI is used to manage formal communication, decision-making and deadline tracking. This split clarified roles for each application, streamlined contract-management workflows across projects, and improved traceability and process control.
