Case Study: State Library New South Wales launches an award-winning transcription editing platform with reinteractive

A ReInteractive Case Study

Preview of the State Library of New South Wales Case Study

We helped State Library New South Wales build an award-winning transcription editing platform.

The State Library of New South Wales needed an affordable way to transcribe its vast historical sound collection and engaged volunteers through a digital platform. Lacking the internal resources, they partnered with reinteractive to scope and develop a custom solution using Ruby on Rails, based on an existing open-source codebase.

reinteractive successfully built a robust transcription editing platform in just four weeks, delivering 100% of the project scope on budget. The solution enabled the library to generate a new dataset of accurate transcripts, significantly increasing public engagement with its archives and making its collections more accessible and searchable.
