Case Study: Performance.gov achieves a one-stop, transparent federal performance management portal with REI Systems

A REI Systems Case Study

Preview of the Performance.gov Case Study

Performance.gov - Customer Case Study

Performance.gov needed a centralized, timely way to share and search federal performance information—especially for the President’s High Priority Goals—because existing data were scattered across sources, tracked in manual Excel charts, and hard to analyze. To create a one-stop shop that would improve transparency and oversight, the Office of Management and Budget engaged REI Systems, drawing on REI Systems’ expertise in Agile delivery, open-source Drupal platforms, and data visualization.

REI Systems built the Performance.gov site with customizable data entry, ETL imports, interactive dashboards, expert surveys and role-based PDF reporting, supporting data from 261 agencies and tailored views for public and government users. The solution enabled cross-agency comparisons, quarterly performance reviews, and measurable tracking (including $260.3M reported toward a cost‑saving goal), is used by 15 Cabinet departments and 11 major independent agencies, and has received positive feedback from OMB on REI Systems’ continued partnership.
