Police Forensic Labs in Ecuador Equipped With Regula Devices

The National Service of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of Ecuador, a government entity providing forensic investigation services, faced a challenge with outdated laboratory equipment. Their Documentology section, responsible for police investigations, lacked modern technology for authenticating documents and IDs and was unsatisfied with their previous vendor's poor support and training.

The vendor Regula addressed this by equipping labs with their Regula 4308 forensic document comparators and reference databases. Regula also provided essential expert training to ensure the technology was used effectively. As a result, the customer achieved their goal of modernizing forensic labs in Quito and Guayaquil, which are now used by approximately 20 experts each, and they are considering further expansion with Regula hardware.
