A Regroup Mass Notification Case Study
The City and County of San Francisco faced fragmented, slow notification processes across multiple departments—ranging from the Public Library and Fire Department to the Office of the Controller—and needed a single solution for disaster recovery, critical alerts and everyday communications. They selected Regroup Mass Notification’s platform, including the AlertManager app, to replace their previous protocol and provide fast, centralized messaging for both routine updates and emergency incidents.
Regroup Mass Notification implemented a user-friendly dashboard, QuickPost templates, language translation, integrations (Cisco, Canvass) and the AlertManager mobile app with text-to-speech and encrypted delivery, allowing messages to reach recipients via email, voice, SMS and social channels. The platform delivered measurable capacity (12,000 voice calls/min, 60,000 SMS/min, 40,000 emails/min), helped CCSF save time and money over its prior approach, and is now used for mail-server migrations, outages, office closures, safety alerts and citywide communications.
