Caribe Wave, a regional tsunami drill in which the Puerto Rico Seismic Network participated, needed a dependable mass notification capability that would integrate easily with its existing seismic reporting tools. Facing simulated scenarios including a magnitude 7.6 earthquake and the need to alert hundreds of emergency officials and first responders quickly, Caribe Wave selected Regroup Mass Notification for a solution offering text-to-speech calls, SMS and email delivery plus 24/7 technical support.

Regroup Mass Notification was integrated with PRSN’s 25 seismic stations to auto-trigger targeted alerts during the exercise, and provided real-time analytics and delivery reporting so teams could see which messages reached recipients and take follow-up action as needed. The deployment increased message delivery reliability, improved situational awareness for hundreds of responders, and strengthened Caribe Wave’s preparedness and response speed — measurable improvements driven by Regroup’s alerting and reporting capabilities.
