Weston Homes, an Essex-based residential house developer with 15 to 25 ongoing projects at a time, needed a simple mobile app to help site managers keep a detailed photographic record of construction progress. The company wanted images tied to each property, along with construction stage, date, time, and supporting notes, even when internet access at project sites was intermittent.

Refractiv built an app using Google Workspace technology that let site managers add site details and photos quickly, then automatically upload the information to Google Drive when WiFi was available. Refractiv also created a web application for the Construction Development team to review progress and potential issues, helping Weston Homes maintain a consistent visual record, support quality control, and reduce travel while giving site managers more time on the plots each day.
