REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ™ surveys 10x faster and more accurately than traditional methods

El Toqui Mine, operated by Laguna Gold in southern Chile, needed a more reliable way to measure borehole trajectory because magnetic interference, geomechanical instability, and difficult ground conditions made traditional magnetic methods unreliable. REFLEX was brought in with its REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ™ solid-state gyroscope to provide non-magnetic measurements in this challenging environment.

REFLEX implemented the REFLEX GYRO SPRINT-IQ™ for a 110 m test hole, with data managed through IMDEXHUB-IQ™ for verification and reporting. The gyro completed the measurement in under 8 minutes versus 1 hour and 20 minutes with the traditional magnetic tool, making it 10 times faster while improving data confidence, reducing collapse risk, and eliminating magnetic interference from the results.
