Mawson Resources used REFLEX IQ-LOGGER™ during a nine-month drilling campaign in Finland, where the core and orientation line were in excellent condition but the rocks were structurally complex and traditional logging methods could not produce interpretations fast enough. In a related project in Mongolia, core quality and data quality were variable, with many holes unorientated or drilled close to vertical, making structural logging even more difficult.

REFLEX implemented the REFLEX IQ-LOGGER™ to let geologists capture core observations and structural measurements quickly, classify data as it came in, and make real-time structural interpretations linked to geophysical and 3D modelling workflows. REFLEX says this significantly improved structural logging efficiency, timeliness, and data integrity, reduced issues such as 180-degree beta angle errors, and enabled faster decision-making and real-time prioritisation of drilling and detailed 3D analysis.
