ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences needed to strengthen its business school offering amid intensifying competition and a shift to hybrid/remote learning, while giving students hands-on experience in sustainable investing and equity analysis. Refinitiv implemented Refinitiv Workspace across the university — integrating it into courses (including Advance Quant Methods via APIs), practical projects with asset managers, and the CFA Institute Research Challenge — where seven student teams produced full stock analyses covering fundamentals, competition, management and ESG. Refinitiv’s flexible licensing, leading ESG data and responsive support boosted remote learning and research capabilities, drove broad adoption across ZHAW, and delivered clear improvements in student project output and academic use of alternative data.
