A Reekoh Case Study
Moreton Bay Regional Council, a major local government area in South-East Queensland, Australia, was building a cloud-based smart city platform while also replacing its ERP and modernizing its cloud architecture. The council needed a fast, reliable way to customize support for many device and data types and integrate IoT data with existing systems, including the new SaaS ERP, and looked for an alternative to in-house development or off-the-shelf software. Reekoh’s agile Integration Platform was evaluated to help meet these smart city data and integration requirements.
Reekoh implemented its Open Plugin Framework and existing plugin library to rapidly connect data from multiple systems and devices, while fitting into the council’s API-layer strategy for a future-proof architecture. The solution supported agile integration across vendor-specific IoT tools and enterprise applications, gave the council flexibility in deployment options, and helped staff focus on smart city outcomes rather than interoperability challenges. Reekoh’s platform was delivered as a supported, managed service, accelerating Smart City project development, though the case study did not provide specific numerical metrics.
