Case Study: The City of Fort Worth achieves $26 million in CIP savings with Redzone interceptor condition assessment

A Redzone Case Study

The City of Fort Worth saves $26 million in CIP with Redzone

The City of Fort Worth needed to assess the condition of its large-diameter interceptor sewers to prioritize repairs and replacements within its wastewater collection system. The vendor Redzone was engaged to meet this challenge using its multi-sensor inspection service and NASSCO PACP condition scoring.

The solution implemented by Redzone established that pipe age and material were not accurate indicators of condition. This data-driven insight resulted in a greatly enhanced understanding of the sewer system's state. The project delivered massive cost savings, including a $6.86 million reduction in cleaning costs and $26 million in capital improvement plan savings for The City of Fort Worth.
