Staples, a North American retailer with 1,000+ stores, 75,000 employees and about $9 billion in sales, struggled to provide executives and store teams with timely, accurate daily reports. Reporting was manual, time-consuming and costly—producing more than 800 distinct documents in multiple formats that had to be located, split, converted and emailed by hand.

Staples implemented Redwood Reporting to centralize and automate ingestion from disparate systems, consolidate reports in a single portal, and distribute personalized documents based on role and authorization. About 2,000 employees now rely on the system, which streamlines approvals and audit trails, reduces costs and effort (notably using Burster to turn a 7,000‑page P&L into store‑level 3–4 page reports), and delivers timely, secure, accurate corporate and store-level reporting.
