A Redwood Software Case Study
Kadaster, the Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency, handles almost 20 million information requests a year and runs a 2,200‑person organization with about 400 IT staff. Facing a move from 18‑hour to 24/7 services, consolidation of six datacenters into one, and shrinking windows for background processing, Kadaster found its legacy scheduler unable to scale or provide required calendar, visualization and dependency features for both SAP and non‑SAP environments.
After a rigorous selection against 42 requirements, Kadaster implemented Redwood Software’s RunMyJobs for SAP, migrating complex non‑SAP batches (including a 900‑step nightly cartographic load) by mid‑2005 and SAP R/3 and BW workloads by early 2006. The solution delivered end‑to‑end scheduling and automation, reduced management overhead, optimized use of existing hardware, and freed IT staff from manual job monitoring—enabling the organization to support 24/7 online services.
