Experian Integrated Marketing (EIM), part of the Experian Group, builds and hosts customer intelligence data‑marts for blue‑chip clients from two UK data centers with a 200‑strong team. Increasing demand exposed the limits of cron‑based scheduling: EIM needed an event‑driven, scalable automation platform that could handle complex dependencies, integrate with Ab Initio, Sybase and its in‑house Elements software, and meet 99.9% availability while containing management costs.

EIM implemented Redwood RunMyJobs across an initial 25‑server environment to provide dynamic process automation, Nimbus exception integration and SMS alerts to on‑call staff. The platform consolidated control and visibility, automated about 1,200 daily tasks (and growing), reduced processes from roughly 700 to about 40, eliminated much manual intervention and lowered administrative overheads while delivering greater flexibility and reliability.
