Global manufacturer improves business process automation and transparency

WMF (Württembergische Metallwaren Fabrik AG), a Germany-based manufacturer and retailer of design-led table and kitchenware, needed to modernize its order-to-cash processes and give management easy, secure access to up-to-date financial and business data. The company also had to coordinate publishing and distribution of product sheets, reports and other documents across global subsidiaries and disparate systems, replace time-based job scheduling that required blackout periods, and automate processes in its UNIX environment.

WMF implemented Redwood Business Process Automation – Workload Edition and Redwood Reporting to automate processes across SAP and other platforms. The solution eliminated blackout scheduling, enabled prioritized ERP processing and load spreading across systems, and used file-event triggers to produce, publish and distribute reports. As a result WMF reduced processing times, improved data visibility and reliability, and consolidated global operations and document workflows under a single, automated orchestration layer.
