Charity lotteries win big with automation

Novamedia operates the Postcode Lottery format across several countries and raises funds for charities — the Dutch lottery alone sells about 4 million tickets a month and the group has donated €6.1 billion to date. The planning team struggled with time-consuming, manual ticket processing that required constant checks, weekend monitoring and reliance on technical staff to fix overnight errors, limiting visibility, control and efficiency.

Novamedia implemented Redwood RunMyJobs to automate ticket processing and system integrations, using an easy web-based interface, automatic alerts and manage-by-exception workflows. The automation cut manual checks, let planners create and change processes without technical support, delivered real-time alerts and automated reporting, improved accuracy and auditability, and produced significant time and cost savings (avoiding roughly one extra FTE).
