World Renowned University Boosts Sap

The Technion Institute of Technology, a top‑100 research university in Haifa, struggled with time‑consuming SAP EhP upgrades, long backup and recovery windows, and slow queries for developers and testers. After evaluating options, the university selected Reduxio and deployed the Reduxio HX550 storage system with BackDating, Tier‑X and NoDup technologies to support its virtualized SAP dev/test landscape.

Reduxio configured the HX550 on the existing 10GbE VMware environment and migrated SAP VMs to the platform; Reduxio’s BackDating delivered a 1‑second RPO, database backups/restores became 3–5× faster, SAP batch jobs ran up to 5× faster, and overall SAP responsiveness and deployment/upgrade times improved markedly for the Technion.
