Delivering blended learning and skill verification across 200 retail stores

Weber, a leading barbecue manufacturer, faced the challenge of training over 200 retail stores on a new product range during COVID-19 travel restrictions. Their traditional in-person workshops, which were essential for providing hands-on cooking experience, were impossible to run. The vendor, RedSeed, was approached to develop an alternative solution that could verify this practical, hands-on learning remotely.

The solution implemented by RedSeed was their SkillsCheck tool. This allowed Weber's trainees to upload videos of themselves completing cooking challenges for verification and feedback from managers. RedSeed's platform enabled Weber to scale its training effectively, resulting in a greater than two-fold increase in engagement between the first and second year and providing improved reporting and analysis capabilities.
