Case Study: VikingCloud launches a developer portal and keeps API docs in sync with Redocly

A Redocly Case Study

Preview of the VikingCloud Case Study

How a leading cybersecurity AI company built their first general audience API at the same time as their developer portal

VikingCloud, a cybersecurity platform based in Dublin and Chicago, needed to launch its first customer-facing API while it was still being built. The team wanted a better alternative to static PDF documentation and needed a way to keep API docs accurate and accessible from day one, so they turned to Redocly and its API documentation and developer portal tooling.

Using Redocly, VikingCloud built an OpenAPI-driven documentation pipeline, developer portal, and API reference that updated automatically as the API changed. The portal was launched on the same day as the GA API release, integrated into BitBucket CI/CD, and later rebranded quickly after an acquisition with minimal effort. VikingCloud reported that Redocly saved significant developer time and made it easy to keep documentation and implementation in sync.
