Plivo optimizes infrastructure and performance with Active-Active Redis

Plivo, a cloud-based communications platform, needed a way to support high-frequency, low-latency writes across regions for its Voice API platform. Its team was using Redis for caching and later found that Amazon ElastiCache couldn’t easily provide the failover and cross-region consistency they needed, especially during regional outages.

Plivo chose Redis Cloud with Active-Active Redis from Redis to solve this challenge. The migration was completed in about a month with almost no code changes, and data integrity improved immediately. Redis also helped Plivo keep services running through a full hour-long regional disruption with little customer impact, while improving infrastructure efficiency and giving the team confidence to expand more workloads onto Redis Cloud.
