Case Study: Matrimony.com achieves continuous high availability and instant performance for 3.5M users with Redis Enterprise (Redis)

A Redis Case Study

Matrimony.com Makes a Perfect Match with Redis

Matrimony.com, India’s first pure‑play consumer internet company to list publicly, runs matchmaking and marriage services across mobile apps, mobile sites and 300+ domains, with more than 3.5 million active users and roughly 70% of traffic on mobile. Faced with rising traffic and the need for instant, always‑on experiences (session data and “offers” lookups), the company needed a higher‑availability, scalable datastore without abandoning its commitment to open source.

Matrimony.com migrated from community Redis to Redis Enterprise for built‑in high availability and a shared‑nothing cluster architecture. Deployed on its VMware private cloud and integrated with its Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP/Node.js stack, Redis Enterprise now powers session management and indices across brands—delivering consistent, faster response times, better hardware efficiency, continuous replication and scalable performance, with plans to extend capabilities using RediSearch, RedisGraph and RedisML.
