Improves messaging system reliability without adding complexity to developers

Mitto, a global CPaaS and wholesale A2P messaging provider, needed to keep its customer messages fast, highly available, and reliable across worldwide deployments while planning for future scale. The company had been using OSS Redis as a cache since 2013, but it wanted commercial support and a path to grow without increasing complexity for developers.

Redis Enterprise was implemented as the new caching and message-processing data store, and Mitto was able to migrate from a single OSS Redis shard with no application changes. With Redis, Mitto improved platform reliability, reduced outages and recovery times, and prepared for scaling needs while handling about 50K–100K ops/sec.
