Case Study: HolidayMe achieves 50x faster data output and sub-millisecond latency with Redis Enterprise (Redis)

A Redis Case Study

Preview of the HolidayMe Case Study

HolidayMe Chose Redis Enterprise (and RediSearch) as a Primary Database to Speed Data Output 50X

HolidayMe is an online travel agency serving the Middle East and Southeast Asia that manages large volumes of hotel, flight and itinerary data for 300,000+ properties and thousands of activities. The company initially used open‑source Redis for caching alongside MongoDB and search tools, but complex queries and high-latency autocomplete (400–600 ms) slowed data output and customer-facing performance as usage scaled.

HolidayMe migrated to Redis Enterprise and adopted RediSearch (and RedisJSON), moving toward a microservices architecture. The change cut autocomplete latency to about 200 ms, increased data output by roughly 50–60×, enabled 60,000+ operations in a few hundred milliseconds, and now supports 800+ microservices with over 90% pushing data to Redis at sub‑millisecond latency, while phasing out less performant search/cache layers.
